Well...to do that, you have first know why you want to make beer because unless you are passionate about it, you aren't going to get far. Especially in India. Do you like to drink beer? Do you like to try various beer styles from across the world? Do you find yourself hunting for different brands when you go beer shopping? If you have answered yes to any of the questions above, you've come to the right place. Brewing is fun. Brewing is easy and brewing gives you the beer YOU WANT.
I say brewing can be challenging in India because unlike the US or other countries where homebrewing is a popular hobby, in India, it hardly exists. At least that's what I think. Correct me if I am wrong and get in touch. Because there aren't any homebrewers here, it is difficult to find the ingredients & the equipment. Most importantly, there is really no support. But guess what, you have just found me. It took me two years to get it right - yes, I make very good beer & it's not just me saying it - and through this series - How to brew beer at home in India - I plan to get you started as well.

Great blog! I recently moved to bangalore and am interested in staring to brew here. I have limited experience (helping my roomate) brew beer in the US. My first hurdle here is how to get not only equipment, but supplies (hops, brewers yeast, malted barley, etc). Do you have any suggestions?
I did my first batch recently in Pune. This blog and Naveen himself was of tremendous help. You are at the right place !
