70% Wheat malt Hefeweizen

So far, all the wheat beers, Hefeweizens, I have brewed had 50% wheat malt and 50% barley malt. The wheat malt % was kept at 50% because I had lautering problems with malt crushed in a blender at home. That is a thing of past now. With malt crushed with a malt mill, lautering problems like stuck / set mash etc. have gone. So, 70% wheat malt it was.

The beer is fermenting very nicely at 17c. Although I wanted to ferment at 16c, the new temperature controller installed by Shivacontrols.com, gratis, will require some learning. So, although the controller is set at 15c, it is maintaining 17c. Let's see what it does.

Brewed the beer on Friday, 5 days have gone by and it should be ready to bottle in 2-3 days. Will post an update on bottling and tasting soon along with some pics!

Cheers!

Hi Naveen

I am quite impressed by your posts. I have brewed wine in India but never a beer. Could you let me know if you get all the ingredient in India and who are the suppliers.

Cheers
